Like shoes, fit is everything with hearing aids. A good fit is not only critical for comfort, but also for getting good, quality sound with minimal feedback.
If you have an MDHearing BTE (behind-the-ear) hearing aid, the tip that came assembled on your hearing aid is a ComfortTIP. These exclusive tips mirror the natural shape of the ear canal with a slight curve and include a vent in order to provide clear, natural sound and comfort.
If you find that the ComfortTIP does not work for you, we have a variety of dome options available to help you achieve a great fit. Please contact Customer Support and one of our hearing aid specialists will be able to provide you with additional sizes and shapes to better suit your needs.
How to change from a tip to a dome
-
To remove the ComfortTIP, hold the tubing with one hand and pull the tip off with your other hand.
-
To attach a dome, push the dome over the ridges on the end of the tubing.
IMPORTANT: Always verify the dome is pushed all the way on the tubing before inserting into your ear canal. You can do this by making sure the end of the tubing is visible through the opening of the dome. Otherwise, the tubing may detach from the dome when removing it from your ear.
