Despite their small size, hearing aids contain a lot of sophisticated parts and can be damaged. Hearing aid repairs and replacements are common. With MDHearing, your hearing aid can be sent in for repair outside of the warranty period.
In this article, we'll discuss:
Can my hearing aid be repaired after the warranty expires?
MDHearing hearing aids have a standard 1-year warranty. After that year, if needed, we can replace hearing aids with the same aid (fees may apply). Please contact Customer Support for instructions and pricing information.
Sometimes we cannot guarantee an exact replacement due to availability. If your hearing aids are unable to be replaced, please talk to Customer Support about a loyal customer discount. We would be glad to apply 10% off on any new order.
MDHearing's 1-Year Warranty
Your MDHearing device is covered against defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the time you receive your order. If at our examination it is determined that the unit failed to work due to parts, materials or workmanship, we will repair or replace it for free.
This warranty does not cover malfunctions due to unusual wear and tear or mistreatment of your hearing aid, such as physical shock, damage from moisture or sweat, excessive wax build-up, lack of proper maintenance, or tampering with the device, all of which void the warranty.
If you do not regularly change your hearing aid accessories (domes, tips, wax guards, tubing), your warranty will be considered void. Similar to car maintenance, hearing aid maintenance is essential to ensure your hearing aids are working well for years to come.
MDHearing Protection Plan
MDHearing also offers the option to purchase a Protection Plan or a Care Plan to safeguard your investment and avoid costly repairs. These plans provide protection against ALL defects, malfunctions, and accidental damage—such as water damage, pet damage, stepping on the device, etc—and loss.
As long as your Protection or Care Plan subscription is active, we will replace your hearing aids with a new working set in the event they no longer function properly. For more information about these plans, please contact Customer Service.
