Despite their small size, hearing aids contain a lot of sophisticated parts and can be damaged. Hearing aid repairs and replacements are common. With MDHearing, your hearing aid can be sent in for repair outside of the warranty period.
In this article, we'll discuss:
Can my hearing aid be repaired after the warranty expires?
MDHearing's hearing aids come with a standard 1-year warranty. Most of the time we can replace hearing aids with the same aid (fees may apply). Please contact Customer Support for instructions and pricing information.
After a few years, we cannot guarantee an exact replacement as parts become more and more limited with time. Hearing aid manufacturers slow or stop ordering stock of older model hearing aids to make way for newer and more updated technology. If your hearing aids are too old to replace and you've purchased with us before, please talk to Customer Support about a loyal customer discount and we would be glad to apply 10% off on any brand new order.
MDHearing's 1-Year Warranty
Your MDHearing device is covered against defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the time you receive your order. If at our examination it is determined that the unit failed to work due to parts, materials or workmanship, we will repair or replace it for free. This warranty does not cover malfunctions due to unusual wear and tear or mistreatment of your hearing aid, such as physical shock, damage from moisture or sweat, excessive wax build-up, or tampering with the device, all of which void the warranty.
MDShield Protection Plan
MDHearing also offers the option to purchase one of our MDShield Protection Plans to safeguard your investment and avoid costly repairs. Our protection plans provide coverage for ANY defect or malfunction after the standard warranty, as well as ALL types of accidental damage to the hearing aids, including water damage, corrosion, shock from dropping it, and internal parts replacement.
As long as your MDShield Protection subscription is active, we will replace your hearing aids with a new working set in the event they no longer function properly. For more information about the protection plan, please contact Customer Service.
