Return shipping is free during your trial period. Outside of the trial period, the customer is responsible for paying for return shipping when getting a replacement hearing aid, either with our Worry-free Shipping Kit or independently at a post office.
In this article, we’ll discuss:
- How to return during the trial period
- How to get a replacement after the trial period
- Return mailing address
How To Return During the Trial Period
- To initiate a return, you MUST contact Customer Service to start our return process before sending the devices back to us. This is essential for proper processing of your return and efficiency.
- Customer service will send you a QR code* via email or text message for the pre-paid return shipping of your MDHearing order, along with instructions for returning your item(s).
- Bring the QR code to your local USPS branch with the hearing aids you are returning. You do not need to print a shipping label. The USPS staff will scan the QR code, print a label for you, and accept the package.
- Important: Only official USPS Post Office locations can scan the QR code. Third-party businesses that accept USPS mail are unable to scan it.
*If you are unable to receive a QR code or do not have a local USPS location, customer service will send you a prepaid return label and packing envelope. They will also provide instructions for returning your item(s).
How to Package Your Return Hearing Aids
- Put the hearing aids and charger back inside their MDHearing box.
- If you no longer have the MDHearing box, please pack the hearing aids and charger as tight as possible using bubble wrap or newspaper.
- Place the MDHearing box inside a poly mailer, bubble mailer, or small box.
How to Get a Replacement After the Trial Period
- If you are experiencing problems with your hearing aids and believe you need a replacement, you MUST contact Customer Service before sending the devices back to us. This is essential for proper processing. We will troubleshoot your hearing aids, and if a replacement is determined to be necessary, you will be required to return your original hearing aid(s).
- To return the original hearing aid(s) back to us, you will be offered two options for return shipping:
- Worry-free Shipping Kit: If you purchase our Worry-free Shipping Kit ($20), we will send you a prepaid return label and packing envelope. Then you simply package up the hearing aids and put it in your mailbox or give it to a mail carrier. If the package is lost, we will assume responsibility and your refund is still guaranteed.
- Post Office: You may also ship your return independently at a post office, but we recommend shipping insurance as you are 100% responsible for the package. If the package is lost, MDHearing does not assume responsibility and you will not receive a refund until we receive your return package.
