Our return shipping is straightforward: initiate the return with customer service, receive a QR code, and bring your items to the post office. In most cases, this process is free.
In this article, we’ll discuss:
Return Shipping Process
- To initiate a return or replacement, you MUST contact Customer Service to start our return process before sending the devices back to us. This is essential for proper processing of your return and efficiency.
- Customer service will send you a QR code* via email or text message for the pre-paid return shipping of your MDHearing order, along with instructions for returning your item(s).
- Bring the QR code to your local USPS branch with the hearing aids you are returning. You do not need to print a shipping label. The USPS staff will scan the QR code, print a label for you, and accept the package.
- Important: Only official USPS Post Office locations can scan the QR code. Third-party businesses that accept USPS mail are unable to scan it.
*If you are unable to receive a QR code or do not have a local USPS location, customer service will send you a prepaid return label and packing envelope. They will also provide instructions for returning your item(s).
How to Package Your Return Hearing Aids
- Put the hearing aids and charger back inside their MDHearing box.
- If you no longer have the MDHearing box, please pack the hearing aids and charger as tight as possible using bubble wrap or newspaper.
- Place the MDHearing box inside a poly mailer, bubble mailer, or small box.
Where do I ship my return to?
Please ship your return to our Returns & Replacement Facility at:

Chicago, IL 60661
Exception to Free Return Shipping
If shipping was free with your initial order, your return shipping may be subject to a shipping fee, in which case you will be offered two options:
- Worry-free Shipping Kit: If you purchase our Worry-free Shipping Kit ($20), we will send you a prepaid return label and packing envelope. Then you simply package up the hearing aids and put it in your mailbox or give it to a mail carrier. If the package is lost, we will assume responsibility and your refund is still guaranteed.
- Post Office: You may also ship your return independently at a post office, but we recommend shipping insurance as you are 100% responsible for the package. If the package is lost, MDHearing does not assume responsibility and you will not receive a refund until we receive your return package.
