The NEO XS PRO offers both volume and program settings to help you adapt to various listening situations. It uses a multi-function push button that serves as volume control and program control, or you may use your smartphone or tablet to control the settings.

How To Change the Volume

To change the volume, simply push the button quickly and release it.

Volume Increments

A single beep indicates each step.
A series of 3 beeps indicates when minimum and maximum volume is reached.

There are 9 volume settings with 3dB of change with each step. The volume starts on step 2 (6 dB) and can increase 7 steps to approximately 27dB. Then the volume returns to step 1 (3 dB) and starts increasing again.

Gradually adjust the volume until you reach a comfortable level where you can hear sounds clearly without discomfort or distortion.

When the aid is turned off and back on, it will delay 5 seconds before providing any sound. Then it will restore the last volume setting used.

How To Change the Program

To change the program, press and hold the button for 3 seconds and release. The number of beeps will indicate which program you are on. One beep for program 1, two beeps for program 2, etc.

How To Change the Volume/Program With a Smartphone

You may also use the optional MDHearing app to control the settings. Once you've paired your hearing aids with your smart device, you can access these settings on your dashboard.

Programs: Tap the Programs button to access program options. From there, you can select from the four program options detailed above.
Volume: Tap the Volume button to access volume control. From there, drag the sliders up and down to control the left or right aid’s volume. Tap “+/-“ to raise or lower the volume of both hearing aids.

How To Turn the NEO XS PRO On/Off

The hearing aid will automatically turn off when placed in the charging case for more than 5 seconds, and turn on when you remove it from the case.

When the aid is turned off and back on, it will delay 5 seconds before providing any sound and then restore the last volume and program settings used.
